Virtual Race Day

The Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon returns for 2024!

We appreciate that some of our participants may not be able to take part in the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin; some may not be able to compete the 10k distance in one go, and some may not be able to be in Dublin on that date.  We’re delighted to once again have a Virtual event, so that everyone, wherever they are, can join in the fun of the event.

We want to help you to raise much-needed funds for your charities and causes in a flexible way, and we are, as always, committed to promoting the development of a healthy lifestyle for women.  Our Virtual event will help you to achieve your personal goals by walking, jogging or running your 10km wherever you are in the world.

You can register for our Virtual event from March 5th via the ENTER HERE button on the home page of our website.

Everyone who enters the 2024 Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon will receive:

  • A participant t-shirt, which you can wear while completing your 10km on the weekend of the event;

  • The 2024 Vhi Women’s Women’s Mini Marathon medal.

  • A downloadable race bib to attach to your t-shirt.

  • A 20% discount code for Intersport Elverys, which can be used instore or online at www.elverys.ie

  • Everyone who enters the virtual event will automatically be included in a draw to win a holiday in Lake Garda from Topflight.

Virtual Race Day

The Vhi Virtual Women's Mini Marathon is more than a 10k event, it's a fun day out for everyone! Over the past 41 years, we have worked hard to make sure that we bring the very best event that we can to you, our wonderful participants, and to continue to improve it year on year.

So what happens on Race Day?

The Vhi Virtual Women's Mini Marathon takes place from 9.30am on Saturday 1st June until 9.30am on Monday 3rd June. You can choose what day/s suit you best once you complete your 10km distance by 9.30am on Monday 3rd June. Snap and share a selfie when you’re finished, listen to your favourite playlists including 98FM’s new official playlist and get your friends and family to follow you and track your 10k.

We also want to see your stories on our social media platforms. Include the #VhiWMM and #HeartToHeart hashtags on your posts, and tag @VhiWMM on Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook and Twitter.

We want to help you to raise funds for your charities over the next few months. Our charity fundraising partner is iDonate and you can set up your fundraising account with them here

Enter online today and join us this June for the Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon.

Be Aware and Be Prepared

When the big day arrives, you’ll want to focus all of your efforts on having fun, raising funds for charitable causes and staying in the game - which is why it’s important to know where you’re going and what you’ll have to do before being able to participate.

Choosing Your Route

We strongly recommend that participants take part in a venue close to your home. Our best recommendation of a route begins at your own front door. If that is not possible, check out a local park or green space which is both safe and accessible. Take note if there are any special times slotted out for vulnerable and older members of our community and pick your time accordingly.

Print your Race Number

We want to recreate the experience of race day as much as possible. As in previous years, we will be providing you with downloadable Race Numbers before race day which you can personalise and we’d love to see lots of pictures of our participants wearing their “bibs”. You can customise them with your name, your charity, or a special message to say why you are taking part. Watch this space for your bib - coming soon to download here.
